Indian captain Virat Kohli has slipped to 10th position in the list of batsmen in the latest T20 International rankings released on Monday. However, his compatriots Lokesh Rahul and Rohit Sharma are ranked second and 11th respectively. Kohli (673 points) has lost one place. On the other hand, England’s captain Ian Morgan, who scored 136 with two half-centuries during England’s 2–1 win in the three-match series against South Africa, has moved up to 9th place with a total of 687 points. Rohit, who is recovering from a calf injury, is ranked 11th in the batting rankings with 662 points. Babar Azam of Pakistan leads the list. Azam has 879 points. Rahul is in second place with 823 points.
Among the batsmen, South Africa’s Quinton de Kock has gained 10 places to 16th, while his opening partner Temba Bavuma has jumped 127 places to 52nd position. Bavuma scored 123 runs in three innings at a strike rate of 153.75.
In the bowling list, India’s fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah is in joint 12th position with West Indies fast bowler Sheldon Jackson. South Africa’s left-arm spinner Tabrez Shamsi has moved into the top 10 with a jump of nine places. He is in the eighth position. England spinner Adil Rashid has overtaken South Africa’s Andile Fehlukwayo to sixth place.
Tom Curren has climbed into the top 30 with a jump of 28 places. Rashid Khan and Mohammad Nabi top the list of bowlers and all-rounders respectively.
